Good afternoon, everyone. I’m very glad to stand here and give you a short speech. today my topic is “How to be a genius”. I hope you will like it.
All the classmates here must have heard a saying, "genius is one percent inspiration and ninety-nine percent perspiration."
First, I will tell you a story.
At the beginning of the new semester, the principal called the three teachers into the office and said, "according to your past teaching performance, you are the best teacher in our school. So we have selected 100 of the most intelligent students in the school to make up three classes to teach you. The IQ of these students is higher than that of the other children. I hope you can let them." The three teachers were happy to say that they would do their best. The principal also told them to treat the children, as usual, not to let the children or children's parents know they were selected. The teachers agreed. One year later, the students of the three classes were ranked in the forefront of the school area. At this time, the principal told the teacher the truth: these students were not the best students chosen, but the most ordinary students who were randomly selected. The teachers didn't think it would be like this, and they all thought their teaching level was high. Then the principal told them another truth, that is, they were not specially selected. The best teacher in the school is just a random teacher.
Through this story, it can be seen that the successful education of the three teachers is not only their psychological role, but also because their efforts make them better able to educate their students.
To sum up, there is no genius in the world. The so-called genius is to rely on his own efforts to discover the potential of oneself and to change his own destiny. Those non gifted people only keep their potential hidden.
Thank you for listening.
